The well-known product for deck caulking, Sikaflex caulking 290i DC provides an excellent bond for teak decking. It requires a primer application before caulking and there are additional H&S considerations. There is the obvious need to purchase a secondary product and application information must be followed to the letter. The bond is as good as any available and Sika products have a significantly faster curing and drying time compared to some other caulking products available.
