Decking

Whether you’re a large-scale production manufacturer or undertaking a one-off custom project, be that a family day-boat or a superyacht, we offer a full range of solutions using carefully sourced teak or composite materials.

We have detailed data for many popular UK-manufactured boat models, allowing us to streamline production and ensure an accurate fit every time. Get in touch for an estimate.

For trailer-sized boats, we can carry out professional in-house deck fitting at our facility—saving you time and avoiding marina fees.

We are the only UK manufacturer producing full-depth seam decks at scale

Our standard teak thickness is 6mm, with options up to 18mm depending on your requirements. Crucially, our seams are full-depth—there’s no rebate. This means your deck not only looks exceptional but also lasts significantly longer.

We use TDS (Teak Decking Systems) and Sika caulking for our decks because they represent the highest standards of performance and durability.

Production Builds & Refit Yards

We are proud to have worked with some of the UK’s leading production builders and refit yards, including Princess Yachts, Oyster Yachts, Cockwells, Rustler Yachts, Setag Yachts, Berthon Boat Company, Falmouth Boat Co., Ribeye, and more.

From concept to delivery, we collaborate closely with customers to develop tailored design solutions that meet the demands of each vessel.

Our support doesn’t end at delivery—we also provide comprehensive aftersales support to ensure continued satisfaction and performance.

Our specialist team manufactures not only the main decking components but also smaller elements like steps, interior floors, gratings, interior and exterior tables, along with a wide range of additional components.

Custom Work

We welcome all types of custom projects—whether you have a classic yacht or a unique new-build tender. Whether you need just one area refreshed or a full boat refit, we’re here to help.

We offer site visits to assess your project and work closely with you to develop a tailored plan. If we do not already have the required data, our team can take accurate templates of your vessel to manufacture decking panels ready for you, your fitter or us to install.

If you are unsure on what material to use or wish to discuss your project with one of our team, we would welcome you to our facility to explore our range of teak and other material options.

Composite Alternatives to Teak

We can produce any product in the material of your choice. While we commonly work with Navicork, Marine Deck 2000, and Evo decking, we’re happy to use the material you prefer. Contact us to discuss your project.

Planks & Material

We prepare and finish our planking in our own Mill facility. We can supply you with prefabricated panels or individual planks if you just need to replace a small area.

Myanmar teak was historically regarded as the benchmark for marine construction and decking, having a golden-brown appearance with a tight grain pattern. However, escalating deforestation and geopolitical challenges led to strict restrictions, making further importation of this material both impossible and unethical.

We do still have limited amounts of historical Myanmar material, which has been with us for many years but have also naturally invested significant time and effort into sourcing alternative origin teak. These maintain the necessary attributes required for a high quality product whilst ensuring responsible forestry.

We source fully FSC certified Costa Rican Teak that is sustainably grown and managed. It has a slightly wider grain with a dark honey-like colour appearance.  This material is widely used across volume production builds.

Our Indian Teak is sourced from FSC controlled forests. The timber is darker brown in colour and has a straighter, tighter grain structure.

All teaks will silver with age when exposed to the elements.

We welcome you to our facility (by appointment) to look at the different options we have available.

Whether you’re outfitting a new yacht or restoring a classic, insist on the unmatched quality of Moody Decking.
