Heritage
Timeless Teak, Modern Method
With a proud family heritage in the marine industry spanning six generations, Moody Decking was born out of the renowned Moody Yachts Company. Originally making teak decking soley for Moody yachts, we saw a demand to bring high-quality, precision-crafted decks to a wider market.
Now with over 25 years of experience in prefabricated decking, our expertise has allowed us to perfect a process for crafting teak components that can be built at our facility to exact specifications.
Products
Our experience, refined processes, and advanced equipment enable us to deliver consistent, premium decks in either teak or composite alternatives to clients across the industry.
Our standard teak thickness is 6mm, with options up to 18mm depending on your requirements. Crucially, our seams are full-depth—there’s no rebate. This means your deck not only looks exceptional but also lasts significantly longer.
Beyond boat decking, our in-house team craft everything from steps, tables, gratings and internal floors to bespoke projects such as kitchen islands, saunas, and swimming pool surrounds. Detailed design drawings are provided, so you are in control throughout the process and have the final say.
Our products are designed in a way that makes delivery and installation at your site as straightforward as possible for you – we provide an efficient, professional installation service, or you can arrange fitment yourself.

Based in a 2,500 square meter facility in Whiteley, our factory is equipped with cutting-edge technology including CNC machines, laser mapping systems, CAD software and at the centre of all of that, a dedicated team of skilled craftsmen and craftswomen.
Our expert team combine hands-on experience with advanced machinery to deliver world-class products. From the ground up, we invest in our people—training apprentices and refining skills to ensure quality that lasts.
In the mill, trained eyes select all material, considering grain, colour, and cut for lasting strength and beauty.
Our design team brings each project to life using CAD software from our in-house digitiser, crafting tailor-made layouts that guide our CNC machines with pinpoint accuracy.
In production, raw materials are transformed into elegant, ready-to-install products — no matter the size. Every piece is inspected before it leaves our factory.

Full-Depth Seams. Full-Length Lifespan
We are the only UK manufacturer to use a full-depth seam system, maximising the usable life of the teak. In contrast, rebated seam systems used by others can reduce deck life by half.
